The easy-to-read book can therefore be called the first step in the Bengali language. The book has been published in the Department of Primary Education in West Bengal as a children’s reading book. Both the books Sahaj Path were declared as the stepping stone of pioneering education in Bengali language in India. In the second volume, the poet Rabindranath Thakur composed the sentences, paragraphs, use of words, emphasis, odd-words and the structure of rhymes easily for easy learning, so these two volumes are considered as the first step in the development of children’s mind in Bengali. The first volume deals beautifully with the basic concepts of the Bengali alphabet and the process and structure of the alphabet. The poet published the book Sahaj Path in two volumes on the main topics of Bengali language and literature in the children’s literature section. Thus, there is no need to wonder whether the translator got it right or injected too much of his own worldview into the process. Gitanjali translates to “Song Offerings” and while the English version is a translation, it was translated by Tagore himself.
Tagore was the first non-European winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature (1913.) While Gitanjali is a work of poetry, Tagore didn’t restrict himself to this form, but also wrote stories, novels, plays, and music. Gitanjali is the most well-known work of the Bengali polymath Rabindranath Tagore.
